A life-long resident of Searcy, Arkansas, Sara Dacus attempts to stamp out ignorance as an eighth grade English teacher for Searcy Public Schools. Previously, Sara wrote for five years in a hospital public relations position.

While she was dating her now-husband Casey Dacus, she accompanied him to Oaklawn Park, and she was immediately captivated by the sport. Now she is an avid horse racing enthusiast, counting down the days until the live season in Arkansas begins.

The Dacuses have a curious son who has a thoroughbred-themed nursery.
